Edwin Joseph Bocage ("Eddie Bo") (September 20, 1930 – March 18, 2009) was an American singer and New Orleans-style pianist. Schooled in jazz, he was known for his blues, soul and funk recordings, compositions, productions and arrangements. He debuted on Ace Records in 1955 and released more single records than anyone else in New Orleans other than Fats Domino.

Odetta Holmes, December 31, 1930 – December 2, 2008, known as Odetta, was an American singer, actress, guitarist, songwriter, and a human rights activist, often referred to as "The Voice of the Civil Rights Movement". Her musical repertoire consisted largely of American folk music, blues, jazz, and spirituals. An important figure in the American folk music revival of the 1950s and 1960s, she was influential musically and ideologically to many of the key figures of the folk-revival of that time, including Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Mavis Staples, and Janis Joplin.

Napoleon Brown Culp. October 12, 1929 – September 20, 2008. Better known by his stage name Nappy Brown, was an American R & B singer. His hits include the 1955 Billboard Chart No 2, Don't Be Angry and Night Time Is the Right Time. His style is instantly recognizable; Brown used a wide vibrato, melisma, and distinctive extra syllables, in particular, "li-li-li-li-li."

Phil Guy
April 28, 1940, Lettsworth, LA - August 20, 2008, Chicago Heights, IL. Phil was an American blues guitarist. He was the younger brother of Buddy Guy. Guy played with the harmonica player Raful Neal for ten years in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area before relocating to Chicago in 1969. He played with Junior Wells in the 1970s, and recorded extensively under his own name in the 1980s and 1990s. Phil died of complications from pancreatic cancer.

Little Arthur Duncan
February 5, 1934 - August 20, 2008. Arthur Duncan was born in Indianola, Mississippi. He was raised on the Woodburn Plantation, where B.B. King grew up. Arthur began his musical career as a drummer, but after he moved to Chicago in 1950, he met Little Walter and took up the harmonica. For a while during the 1950's, Arthur shared a house with Little Walter and Jimmy Reed. During these years Arthur sang and played in blues clubs all over Chicago.

Ike Turner
Ike Wister Turner (November 5, 1931 – December 12, 2007) was an American musician, bandleader, talent scout, and record producer. His first recording, "Rocket 88" by "Jackie Brenston and his Delta Cats," in 1951, is considered by some to be the "first rock and roll song" ever. However, he is best known for his work with his ex-wife Tina Turner as one half of the Ike & Tina Turner revue. Spanning a career that lasted half a century, Ike's repertoire included blues, soul, rock, and funk. Alongside his former wife, he was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991 and in 2001 was inducted into the St. Louis Walk of Fame. Turner won two Grammy Awards.
